Saint George has long been known by the title "The Great Martyr" and is one of the most popular saints venerated in the Church. A Roman soldier converted to Christianity, he became a martyr for his unwavering faith and is invoked as the protector of warriors, knights, and all who face spiritual and worldly battles.

This wooden sculpture was designed and produced based on the story of Saint George and the Dragon — the legend that symbolizes the triumph of faith over evil, of good over error.
